Applications
BEFORE APPLYING.
Thank you for your interest in Now and Then! Before applying, there are a few rules we would like for you to review.
Please look over our FAQs and other setting information guides before starting your application!
As this is a new game, and we aren’t incredibly sure how much steam it will be picking up, for now, you must have a reservation to apply. This rule may be subject to change in the future!
Use the format Character Name | Canon | NR/Reserved in the title!
Our players may app one character per application cycle, and have a total of three characters in game. Please note that multiple characters applied by the same person do not affect the player cap!
If you receive revisions, you will be given 48 hours to submit them before the application is automatically declined.
You may link applications or post them as is.
We will do our best to judge everyone’s applications fairly, and we hope that you will be understanding of any judgements on our end. However, if you have any questions about the process or decisions we made, please contact us! If you send us a PM, we will get back to you as soon as we can.
Applications will be processed once at the midway point of our deadline, and again at the end of it.

Birthday: This is what decides what city your character is going to end up in!
History: A link here is fine! If a description is necessary, please keep it under 400 words.
Chosen Canon Point: Include a very brief description here of the point you are pulling your character from here. Keep it under 400 words.
Appearance: A link is fine! If a description is necessary, please keep it under 200 words. Feel free to make note of that here.
Personality: This is the bulk of the application! We ask that you make your personality section at least 500 words long, and a maximum of 1,000 words. In this section, you should include a character’s strengths, weaknesses, and motivations-- and please refrain from using bulletpoints to do so. Please have at least two strengths, two weaknesses, and one overall motivation from your character. Include canon examples where possible, keeping in mind that this is not a history section.
Abilities: Bulletpoints are allowed here! We would like to not have to nerf any powers, but there may be some that have to be taken under consideration. If you have any concerns about this section, feel free to contact us.
Inventory: List the things that your character would have on their person from the canon point you’ve chosen here. Each character also arrives with one additional item of your choosing. Be sure to clearly identify which item is the one you've picked.
Suggestions (Optional): Your characters living in the world opens opportunity for creatures, aspects or events that might be common from your canon to happen! If there's anything specific you would like to see from us, we'd love to hear it from you! Feel free to leave this section blank.
Samples
Please link us threads that you’ve written with your character within the last three months. These do not have to be TDM threads. Threads must have at least five replies from you, and we ask for at least two unique threads. We need enough to get a feeling for your character’s voice here.
